Dale Rainsford, MPT, BSc Kin, IMS, PgCPain; Registered Physiotherapist
Dale attended the University of Victoria and completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Co-op) in 2014. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2016. Continuing his professional education he has also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Pain Management through the University of Alberta.
Dale’s clinical interests include musculoskeletal and sporting injuries, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and athletic performance. He has sport experience working with Team Ireland’s U19 Field Lacrosse team, the Junior A Nanaimo Timbermen lacrosse team, and Pacific FC.
His therapeutic approach involves active listening, thorough examination, quality education, individualized exercise prescription, targeted manual therapy, and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). Dale is a certified IMS practitioner, which is a dry needling technique designed to help manage persistent neuromuscular pain.
Dale is excited to offer Physiotherapy services for those looking to rehabilitate injuries, manage chronic impairments and pains, or optimize their physical activity capacity.
Outside the clinic Dale is a soccer player (and fan) and runner who also enjoys lacrosse, and sailing.
Dale is an active registrant of the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
